Content Guidelines

Overview

The detailed Community Guidelines below have been created to help you understand the best practices as a member of the Vivoom community and your use of the Vivoom service (the “Vivoom Service”). We trust that you will be responsible in the content you create and will respect the community and not abuse the service.  It is important to note that violating the guidelines outlined below may result in a disabled account, or discontinued access to Vivoom, without warning. We may need to change these community Guidelines from time to time and reserve the right to do so. By using Vivoom you are also subject to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Flagging of Content

If you see something on Vivoom that you believe violates our Terms of Use then click “Flag” on the page of the video you are watching. The Vivoom Moderation Team will review the content of all flagged videos. When a video gets flagged it is automatically taken down by the system. Please keep in mind that reporting a piece of content does not guarantee that it will be permanently removed from the Vivoom Service. If we do permanently remove your video after reviewing it, you can assume that we removed it with good reason, and you will receive a warning notification that should be taken seriously. If you are confused as to why it is removed read our Terms of Use.

Our goal is to provide a service that allows you to create content that interests you and share your content with others. Each user is responsible for the content he or she provides, we do not actively monitor and censor user content, except in limited circumstances when such user content may be violating  these Community Guidelines

Because of the diversity of our community, it’s possible that something could be disagreeable or disturbing to you without meeting the criteria for being removed or blocked.

Guidelines

Ownership & Intellectual Property
Before sharing content on Vivoom, please be sure you have the right to do so. Please respect copyrights, trademarks, and other legal rights (such as music tracks or videos made by other users) by only uploading videos that you made or that you are authorized to use. Repurposing other peoples’ content copied or collected from the Internet, without consent, could be in direct violation of this guideline. Copyrighted and trademarked assets provided through the In-UGC experience will be cleared for use if it is delivered via the Vivoom Service.

Pornography
Vivoom is not a service for pornography. Accounts found sharing sexually explicit or mature content will be disabled and your access to Vivoom may be discontinued. Vivoom has a strict policy against the sharing of pornographic content and any explicitly sexual content where a minor is involved. We also reserve the right to limit the display of any nudity, but respect people’s right to share non-graphic content of personal importance.

Violence and Threats
You may not at any time post videos with direct, specific threats of violence against others. Vivoom will remove content and may escalate to law enforcement if there is a perceived genuine risk of physical harm, or a direct threat to public safety. Any organizations with a record of terrorist or violent criminal activity are not allowed to maintain a presence through our service

Graphic Content
Videos depicting graphic or gratuitous violence are not allowed on Vivoom. Graphic imagery that shows someone getting hurt, attacked, or humiliated to celebrate or glorify violence has no place on Vivoom and we ask that you do not post it via our service.

Illegal content
You are not permitted to complete transactions involving regulated goods on our platform. If your Vivoom videos are promoting the sale of regulated goods or services, including firearms, alcohol, tobacco, or adult products, they will be taken down accordingly. You may not use our service for any unlawful purposes or in furtherance of illegal activities.

Spam
Service manipulation in order to self-promote through “spam” is not permitted on the Vivoom platform. Do not create misleading descriptions, tags, titles or thumbnails in order to increase views. Repetitive spam complaints will lead to a suspension of your account, some of the factors that we take into account when determining what constitutes spam include but are not limited to: A large number of spam complaints have been filed against you, duplicate content posted across multiple accounts, the creation of false or misleading content in an attempt to bring attention to a service or link, gratuitously promoting third-party sites.

Abuse, Bullying, Harassment and Tortious Speech
We allow users to speak freely on matters and people of public interest, but take action on all reports of targeted abusive behavior towards private individuals. Vivoom does not tolerate bullying or harassment. Repeatedly targeting other users with video content is a form of harassment. You may not use the Vivoom Service to publish defamatory, libelous, or otherwise tortious speech.  If we receive valid complaints about your conduct, we’ll disable your account.

Impersonation
You may not use the Vivoom Service to impersonate others in a manner intended to mislead, confuse, or deceive others. Claiming to be another person, creating a false presence for an organization, or creating multiple accounts violates Vivoom’s community guidelines. Users should also refrain from publishing the personal information of others without their consent.

Self-harm
Vivoom takes threats of self-harm very seriously. Any account found encouraging or urging users to embrace eating disorders, engage in self-mutilation, partaking in hard drug abuse or committing suicide will result in a disabled account without warning, along with the removal any related content.  We understand and believe that communication regarding these behaviors in order to create awareness, come together for support and to facilitate recovery is important, but that Vivoom is not necessarily the most appropriate channel for these messages.

Hate Speech
Hate speech is not permitted under any circumstances. While we support free speech and defend everyone’s right to challenge ideas, institutions, events, and practices, we do not permit individuals’ right to speech which attacks or demeans a group based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, and sexual orientation/gender identity.
